Showering

Right now Shawn and I have an approximate total of 1,345, 632 bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower. I don't know why this is...well, yes, I do. The daily clarifying shampoo which has no perfumes or colors makes our scalps itch. I don't know why this is. But it did make me pull out all of our shampoos and conditioners so we could test to see if any others made our scalps itch. So far that daily clarifying is the only one to do so.

Anyhow. I get to make delicious smelling mixes to entertain myself while in the shower...because what fun is a shower if all you do is get clean?

So far the different mixes I have made:

Fructis Shampoo + Goji Berry Conditioner + Cucumber Melon body wash = I smell like a fruit salad.

Fructis Shampoo + Lady Killer Cinnamon Conditioner + Peach body wash = I smell like peach cobbler.

Chamomile Shampoo + Lavender Conditioner + Peppermint soap = I smell like a field of wildflowers.

Clarifying shampoo has astringent in it to get rid of oil or grease, so using it daily when you aren't having problems with oily hair (read: pregnancy) will dry your scalp out something fierce. Try using it once a week.

And I vote for smelling like cobbler. Mmmmmm.

Yeah, it's totally weird--I can use the shampoo, but only if I wash my hair again with a different shampoo. Like the Repeat part of Wash, Rinse, Repeat. I figured it was doing something that the other shampoo ended up combating, maybe a little like putting lotion on right after showering to make me not feel so dried out.

Also, you have a dutch oven, ergo you should make Blueberry Grunt.

Mmmmmm, good smelly stuff! I have been using all this sensitive skin stuff in hopes it would do wonders for my skin, but honestly it is the same as anything else (except with a higher price tag). Next time I am going back to scented body wash. Not changing shampoo or conditioner though as curly hair needs curly hair conditioner as I have discovered!!!

I'm just looking for a shampoo which will leave a residue of hair on top of my bald head!
