The other day was my birthday. And everyone was super nice to me.
Then the guy showed up and dropped off the M&Ms.
Yep, some random guy dropped off a bag of M&Ms for me. And I don't have a clue as to who it was. But (and this is a big But), because I work for the guvmint, I can't eat any of them until I know who gave them to me.
Besides, they may be laced with cyanide.
Want an M&M?

So I heard another odd story about mysterious food last night: At Matt's company they have a tradition of people bringing food for an afternoon coffee break every day at 4. Earlier this week, they got an announcement that there were cookies in the breakroom at 1:30, and while he thought it odd, he decided to check it out. Turns out it wasn't actually cookies, but a cookie cake, with something odd written on it, something like "...foot...door". He finally gets the story one of his co-workers. This guy had been trying to get hired and had not had any luck, so he kept sending e-mails to various employees always closing, "Just trying to get my foot in the door!" This cake was apparently his latest and greatest attempt to get his foot in the door, and as no on got sick, it must have been genuine. But I suspect if he's rejected again, his next cookie cake will have delicious almonds baked into it :)
